A return to Ice skating in the South

Daryyl and I went skating today after being at Stomping ground. We finally found out where all the kids in this city are hiding. Darryl complained in the car the whole way there. He wanted to go home and watch television. He is addicted to television. He is addicted to the Disney Channel. He could watch that channel 24/7. He is scaring me a little bit because he seems to have anxiety if he has been out of the house too long.

As soon as he saw all the kids skating, he wanted to go to. We rented skates. Being from the North I figured I would pick it right back up where I left off.

HOLY CRAP! ICE IS SLIPPERY! I forgot how slippery ice is. Darryl and I quickly grabbed the side boards with the beginners, Asians and Afro-Americans. This is truly the last white man's sport. Well I guess Equestrian and polo too. We all edged our way around the rink by hanging onto the side boards. I finally got comfortable to leave the boards with Darryl. Thank god he is only 4 years old and I am 250 lbs. He was slipping and sliding and I was holding him up by his hand. It was pretty funny. I think he was stunned by how strong I am. He finally realized that I wouldn't let him fall. I told him to extend his other arm outward. We flew around the rink. Well at least it felt like we were flying. There were still a lot of people passing us.
