Big Darryl had a big weekend. His swimming got a lot better. I need to work on rolling his body when he swims. He has a hard time lifting his arms out of the water because he swimming flat in the water. Plus he forgets to kick when he uses his arms. All of this can be corrected with more practice.
I also taught Darryl how to ride a bike. Really he taught himself. I just pushed him through the tough parts. He woke up and wanted to learn how to ride his bike. We had taken off the training wheels a couple of weeks ago. However, I made the mistake of starting on the street which slopes down to the sidewalks so that the rain will drain.
We went to the path that they just finished paving. I held his arm...then his back...then his collar...then I tapped him on the back...and pretty soon he was doing it himself.
Then we worked on starting by himself. He put his foot on the highest peddle while the other foot touched the ground and then PUSH! LIFT!
Life is good.
Apparently he is sitting on the path right now waiting for people to come by...so he can race them. He loves to race.
I gave Isadora a pedicure foot massage. He toenails are yellow with blue polka dots. I scrubbed her feet with an exfoliant and then a mask and then a massage balm. I have every Body Shoppe foot product....I think. She liked it. However, she sucks at following my verbal instructions. Drives me nuts. Her feet feel and look wonderful. I have to work on the toenail polish application....how do they get the polish on so smoothly? Thank God for Youtube.
