Isadora breast fed Darryl in a rocker for 2 years. They love that rocker. They cuddle in it now. Darryl winds down in it.
He starts the nightly ritual by yelling "Who wants to cuddy on the couch?!".
Isadora replies "I do! I do!"
Darryl runs into her arms with his favorite blanket.
I am usually lying on the futon.
Sometimes Darryl sits by himself on the rocker. I should sit with him. He gets uncomfortable because this is a mommy and son ritual.
We don't have any rituals. I never have a steady schedule. Excuses. There is always something on TV that I "have to watch". He is becoming the same way.
I wish my parents hadn't bought the giant television. It compels you to watch it. I have a choice. Don't watch it.
Watching TV makes others rich. It does nothing for your son who will end up taking care of you one day.
I used to read to him in bed but I started to fall asleep while reading. He would have to shake me and pinch my nose to keep me awake. The stories were good. I was tired.
