Keeping Darryl outside

Today I started digging a hole in our backyard. Darryl wanted to dig for dinosaurs. I am going to use the hole for excercise. I am going to dig and dig and dig. We have about half a foot of top soil and then it is clay. Real friggin' clay. You could use this stuff in a pottery class. I was pretty exhausted after digging a foot deep hole. Pretty sad.

We also planted our Christmas tree. If it grows it should be nice and pretty next Christmas when we put Christmas lights on it. We put the tree a couple feet in front of our living room window. Darryl named the tree Spikey. Spikey, the Christmas tree.

I went for a scooter ride with Darryl on the trail. He caught up with our Chinese neighbors who were also on the trail. I am pretty shy but I talked with the mother the whole time. Her two kids are cute and nice. They will be nice playmates for Darryl. May and I talked about our jobs in IT. Isadora was also in IT so we all have a lot in common.

We are now sitting watching the Disney Channel. I kept Darryl outside for three hours. A record. Isadora has gone to get groceries and buy a new handle for our toilet. She insists on fixing it herself. That is good. It just takes her along time to get around to these things. She is worse than calling a plumber. I have had to flush the toilet manually by lifting the hood. I keep forgetting that the handle is broken until it is too late. I can't stop it in midstream.
